JI participated in this round of the Hasbro Q&A. Here are our questions and subsequent answers. Once again thanks to Pat and Kevin for spearheading this effort.
1. The wave 3 Rise of Cobra alpha vehicles are well over-due for store shelves. The G.I.Joe Club has mentioned that many containers of various items (not just toys) are waiting to be transported from China to the United States due to a decreased number of ships in use. Are the wave 3 vehicles among those items waiting to ship or are they not coming in the Rise of Cobra line?
Hasbro: They were released but orders on this wave were small due to high demand on previous waves.
2. The 7-pack system seems to be doing well. The Cobra Island and Resolute sets seem to be primarily the result of fan demand for canceled items. However, this system seems to work well in order to make fan-oriented characters available. We do appreciate that items canceled have been made available this way. Is there a plan to keep the fan 7-pack system going or will these always be the result of a back-up plan?
Hasbro: We love these packs and are waiting for the right opportunity - we feel these packs work best when they are planned and relevant.
